User Terms

Document: user_termsVersion: 2026-09-08Effective: September 8, 2026Applies to: Zeeker users

These User Terms (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Zeeker Platforms, Inc. (“Zeeker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), 230 E Ohio St., 410-1590, Chicago, Illinois 60611, USA. They govern Zeeker ID, Social, Explore, Chat, user-facing embeds and widgets, and Zeeker mobile applications (together, the “Services”).

The short version. You own content you create. You give Zeeker a broad license to host, distribute, improve, commercialize, and—where stated below—use public user content for AI and machine-learning purposes. You may grant that license only for material you own or are authorized to use. A link to a publisher article does not give either you or Zeeker ownership of that article.

1. Accepting these Terms

You accept these Terms by affirmatively selecting the acceptance control presented by a Zeeker app. Zeeker records the document version, content hash, app or role, language, acceptance time, account, and the notice and button presented. Merely visiting a public page is not acceptance.

You must accept before first authenticated use. When a material revision affects your rights or obligations, we may require acceptance of the new version before further authenticated use. You may still access this legal site, submit reports or rights requests, export or delete your account where available, and sign out without accepting revised Terms.

If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. Administrators, moderators, publishers, and developers must also accept the applicable supplement.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 and old enough in your country to consent to the processing needed to create an account. If local law requires parental authorization at a higher age, you may use the Services only with valid authorization. The Services are not directed to children under 13.

Give accurate information, keep authentication methods secure, and promptly report unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by Zeeker. Do not buy, sell, rent, or transfer an account without our written permission.

We may use one Zeeker ID across apps. Public profile fields and settings can therefore carry across Social, Explore, Chat, Admin, Embed, and mobile surfaces as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. The Services

Zeeker provides social publishing, feeds, discovery, conversations, private chat, communities, moderation, website embeds, recommendations, search, and AI-assisted features. Features may be added, changed, limited, or discontinued. We will give reasonable notice when a change materially reduces a paid or core service, unless an urgent security, legal, safety, or abuse issue prevents advance notice.

Third-party services, links, feeds, videos, and websites have their own terms. Zeeker does not control them and is not responsible for their availability or content.

Zeeker uses YouTube API Services and the official YouTube embedded player to find and show public videos. By using the Services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google and YouTube process information associated with their services as described in the Google Privacy Policy, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie & Tracking Notice.

App-specific terms

  • Zeeker ID: provides the account and authentication layer used across Zeeker apps. An ID action, connected sign-in provider, recovery method, legal acceptance, suspension, or deletion can affect every linked surface.
  • Zeeker Social: public posts, replies, profiles, reactions, follows, communities, and public threads are distributed under the public-content settings and license below. Community rules supplement, but cannot override, these Terms.
  • Zeeker Explore: ranks and presents topics, posts, publisher links, locations, and other discovery material. Ranking is selective, may be personalized, and is not an endorsement or promise of completeness.
  • Zeeker Chat: messages are intended for their selected recipients and are treated as nonpublic content under section 5. Recipients can retain or report what they receive, so do not send information you cannot safely share with them.
  • Zeeker Embed: user actions within a supported widget remain Zeeker activity and may also occur on a publisher’s site. The publisher can receive page/community context and administer its community as described in the Privacy Policy; the publisher’s own terms may also apply to its site.
  • Zeeker mobile apps: app-store terms and device permissions also apply. You control optional camera, media, microphone, notifications, contacts, and location access through device settings. Store-provider terms govern downloads and store billing.
  • Admin Center and publisher dashboards: the Admin & Moderator Terms or Publisher & Embed Terms additionally applies before the corresponding role or action is available.

4. Your Content and ownership

“Your Content” means text, posts, replies, messages, profile information, images, audio, video, files, reactions, community materials, and other material you submit to the Services.

You retain any ownership rights you have in Your Content. These Terms do not transfer ownership to Zeeker.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own Your Content or have every permission needed to submit it and grant the licenses below;
  • Your Content and our permitted use of it do not violate law, privacy, publicity, contractual, database, copyright, trademark, or other rights;
  • required notices, permissions, and consents have been provided, including for people depicted or quoted; and
  • you will not submit confidential information you are not authorized to disclose.

You cannot grant rights you do not have. A link, title, thumbnail, excerpt, or imported item originating from a publisher or third party remains subject to that party’s rights. Our treatment of such material is explained in the Publisher Data & Crawler Policy.

5. License you grant Zeeker

To operate, secure, improve, promote, and commercialize the Services, you grant Zeeker a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, use, reproduce, cache, store, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, transmit, syndicate, publicly perform, publicly display, communicate, and otherwise make available Your Content in any media or distribution method now known or later developed.

This license includes the right to:

  • format and technically modify content for different devices, accessibility, safety, translation, previews, summaries, search, and delivery;
  • associate Your Content with your username, profile, voice, image, likeness, and other information you chose to make public;
  • display and syndicate public content through Zeeker apps, embeds, search results, feeds, APIs, partners, and licensees;
  • promote, market, monetize, and place advertising or paid features around public content;
  • analyze public content and use it to develop, train, fine-tune, ground, evaluate, and improve machine-learning and artificial-intelligence systems and features, including through service providers and commercial licensees subject to contractual controls; and
  • allow users and organizations to share, quote, embed, remix, translate, or otherwise interact with public content as the Services permit.

You also grant Zeeker a royalty-free right to use feedback and suggestions without restriction or compensation.

Public and nonpublic content

The broad distribution, syndication, commercial licensing, and model-training rights above apply to content you intentionally make public. Private messages, restricted-community content, unpublished drafts, and other clearly nonpublic material are not licensed for public-data products or general-purpose model training. We may process nonpublic content only to deliver requested features, maintain security and integrity, investigate abuse, comply with law, and improve those functions using protected or de-identified methods where permitted.

Names, likeness, and moral rights

The license includes the identity attributes you associate with public content. To the extent permitted by law, you waive—and where waiver is not permitted, agree not to assert—moral rights that would prevent the licensed uses. This does not waive privacy, consumer, data-protection, labor, or other non-waivable statutory rights.

Deletion and license survival

You can delete content or your account using available controls. We will stop displaying deleted content from active Zeeker surfaces within a commercially reasonable period, subject to:

  • copies already shared, quoted, embedded, or independently stored by others;
  • limited backups, security logs, legal holds, fraud prevention, and compliance records;
  • de-identified or aggregated information that no longer identifies you;
  • content retained by a community where law and product controls permit, with account attribution removed where appropriate; and
  • models, evaluations, derived features, and licensed datasets created before deletion where removal is not technically feasible, provided licensees remain bound by deletion/tombstone and use restrictions applicable to distributed source records.

Because the license is perpetual and irrevocable, deletion does not cancel uses already made within this license. Zeeker will propagate deletion or tombstone signals to controlled downstream systems where technically and contractually supported.

6. Zeeker content and license to you

The Services, software, design, trademarks, documentation, and material provided by Zeeker or its licensors are protected by law. Subject to these Terms, Zeeker grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose.

You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer, scrape, probe, bypass access controls, introduce malware, overload, or commercially exploit the Services except where law cannot prohibit it or Zeeker expressly permits it in writing or under the Developer Terms.

7. Acceptable use

Follow the Community Guidelines and applicable law. In particular, do not:

  • exploit or sexually abuse children; distribute child sexual abuse material; groom minors; or evade required safety reporting;
  • share non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual deepfakes, doxxing, credible threats, or instructions for serious violence;
  • harass, stalk, discriminate against, or coordinate harm to a person or protected group;
  • impersonate deceptively, manipulate civic processes, commit fraud, or use undisclosed coordinated inauthentic behavior;
  • post illegal content, infringe intellectual-property rights, or disclose protected personal, medical, financial, authentication, or confidential data;
  • spam, phish, distribute malware, interfere with security, evade enforcement, or artificially manipulate engagement;
  • use Zeeker data for surveillance, facial recognition, eligibility decisions, background checks, harassment, sensitive profiling, or unlawful targeted advertising; or
  • submit content generated or materially altered by AI when a label is required and omit that disclosure.

Context, newsworthiness, public interest, education, counterspeech, and artistic value may affect moderation, but do not guarantee content will remain.

8. Moderation and enforcement

Zeeker may investigate, label, reduce distribution, restrict features, remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, and report matters when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or the public, or comply with law. Automated systems may assist, but consequential appeals receive human review where required.

When appropriate, we provide a reason for a restriction and an appeal route. See Notice, Moderation & Appeals. We do not promise to monitor every item and are not responsible for user content merely because we host or recommend it.

9. Intellectual property complaints

Respect intellectual-property rights. Zeeker responds to sufficiently complete copyright notices and counter-notices and maintains a repeat-infringer policy. See Copyright & Takedown. False or abusive notices may create liability.

10. Privacy, cookies, and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data processing. Our Cookie & Tracking Notice explains browser and device storage. Accepting these Terms does not consent to optional analytics, advertising, marketing, sensitive-data, or other processing for which separate consent is required.

We may send service, security, legal, and account communications. You can opt out of marketing without losing essential notices.

11. Paid features

If you purchase a feature, displayed price, billing interval, tax, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms form part of these Terms. Additional order terms control only where they expressly conflict. Consumer cancellation and refund rights required by law remain unaffected.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and may delete your account through available settings or the Request Center. Zeeker may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, risk to users or systems, nonpayment, legal requirement, or discontinuation.

Provisions that by nature should survive—including content licenses, ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and enforcement records—survive termination.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Zeeker disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, accuracy, and security. Recommendations, AI outputs, and user or publisher content may be incomplete or wrong and are not professional advice.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zeeker and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, revenue, goodwill, use, or data; or damages arising from third-party conduct or content.

Zeeker’s aggregate liability for claims arising from the Services will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid Zeeker for the affected Service during the 12 months before the event. These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that law does not permit us to limit. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so they apply only to the extent lawful.

15. Indemnity for business use

If you use the Services for a business or organization, you will defend and indemnify Zeeker against third-party claims arising from Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your unlawful use, except to the extent caused by Zeeker. This section does not apply to consumers where prohibited.

16. Governing law and disputes

Before filing a claim, contact us through the Request Center so we can try to resolve it. Except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise, Illinois law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction. You and Zeeker waive no non-waivable statutory or regulatory remedies.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version and effective date and, for material changes, provide prominent notice and require new affirmative acceptance. Archived versions and a change summary appear on Policy changes.

18. General

These Terms and incorporated supplements are the entire agreement for the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum necessary and the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; Zeeker may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, financing, or transfer of the relevant business, subject to applicable law.
