Admin & Moderator Terms
These Admin & Moderator Terms (“Admin Terms”) supplement the User Terms. You must accept both before using Admin Center, accepting an administrative invitation, entering admin mode, claiming a publisher installation, or exercising moderation powers. If these Admin Terms conflict with the User Terms on an administrator-specific matter, these Admin Terms control.
1. Authority
You represent that you are authorized to act for the organization or community you select. If that authority ends, stop using the role and promptly transfer or remove access. An organization is responsible for administrators it invites and for configuring roles with least privilege.
Role acceptance is personal. Do not share administrator accounts, approval links, access tokens, or recovery credentials.
2. Administrator responsibilities
You must:
- maintain accurate owner and emergency contact information;
- use strong authentication and promptly revoke stale, compromised, or unnecessary access;
- review role assignments, integrations, API keys, exports, and audit records;
- publish clear community rules consistent with Zeeker’s Community Guidelines;
- apply rules consistently, document material decisions, provide reasons where required, and preserve access to appeal;
- promptly escalate credible child-safety, imminent-harm, intimate-image, illegal-content, security, or legal reports through the correct Zeeker channel;
- respect user privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property rights, and requests to access or delete data;
- disclose sponsorship, automation, AI-generated content, and conflicts where required; and
- ensure imported or synchronized content is lawful and within the rights granted by its owners.
3. Access to user and community data
Administrative access is for operating and safeguarding the relevant community—not personal curiosity, surveillance, discrimination, competitive intelligence, or unrelated marketing. You may access, use, export, or disclose user data only for documented community purposes, under a valid legal basis, and consistently with notices given to users.
Do not:
- sell user data or combine it with brokered data;
- use it for facial recognition, background checks, credit, employment, housing, insurance, or similar eligibility decisions;
- infer sensitive characteristics without a lawful and disclosed purpose;
- disclose report identities, private messages, or safety information except to authorized people; or
- retain exports longer than needed.
Zeeker may log administrative actions and show relevant records to other authorized owners, affected users, auditors, or authorities where appropriate.
4. Controller and processor roles
For account, platform security, abuse prevention, product analytics, and Zeeker-wide moderation, Zeeker generally determines purposes and acts as an independent controller or business. When Zeeker processes personal data solely on an eligible organization’s documented instructions for configured enterprise features, the Data Processing Addendum applies.
Community settings do not override Zeeker’s independent legal duties. If you decide why and how to collect additional information, invite users, upload lists, run campaigns, or import archives, your organization is responsible for its own notices, lawful basis, rights handling, and retention.
5. Moderation duties and limits
Moderators may remove or restrict content within granted permissions, but cannot use their role to retaliate, manipulate debate, conceal conflicts, demand off-platform benefits, or evade Zeeker enforcement. Consequential decisions should consider context and reliable evidence.
Do not promise confidentiality, anonymity, legal outcomes, or emergency response that you cannot provide. Zeeker may reverse a decision, limit a role, place a community under review, or preserve content when needed for law, safety, or platform integrity.
6. Publisher content and imports
Before importing posts, comments, profiles, media, feeds, or publisher data, you must have authority to submit it and grant the applicable license. Public availability is not permission. Preserve attribution, source URLs, author identity where lawful, timestamps, license notices, and deletion obligations.
If you receive an opt-out, takedown, correction, rights reservation, or license termination, promptly stop affected imports and notify Zeeker through the publisher form.
7. Security incidents
Notify Zeeker promptly of suspected credential compromise, unauthorized exports, misuse of administrative access, or personal-data incidents. Preserve evidence and avoid public disclosure that increases harm. Cooperate with proportionate investigation and remediation.
8. Suspension, removal, and transition
Zeeker may temporarily restrict administrative powers to protect users, preserve evidence, comply with law, or investigate misuse. Where practicable, we will provide a reason and appeal route. On role termination, return or delete confidential exports, revoke credentials, and assist an orderly transfer.
9. Organization indemnity and liability
The business-use indemnity and liability provisions in the User Terms apply to the organization and its authorized administrators. They do not reduce non-waivable consumer or data-subject rights.
10. Changes and acceptance
Admin acceptance is recorded separately from user acceptance. A material Admin Terms update requires new acceptance before further administrative action. Read-only access needed to review legal terms, sign out, respond to an incident, or submit a legal request will remain available where technically feasible.
