Public Content & Data Use Policy
This policy explains how Zeeker uses and shares content posted by Zeeker users. It is separate from the Publisher Data & Crawler Policy, which covers material originating from third-party publishers.
Public user content
Content is public when a user intentionally posts it to a public profile, feed, community, thread, or publicly accessible embedded conversation. Under the User Terms, public content may be hosted, indexed, recommended, embedded, syndicated, analyzed, licensed, and used to train, evaluate, ground, and improve AI/ML systems.
Public distribution can include username, display name, public profile attributes, content, timestamps, relationships needed to understand a thread, and engagement counts. It excludes authentication secrets and internal safety data.
Nonpublic content
Private messages, restricted-community material, drafts, blocked-audience content, unpublished publisher configuration, and other clearly nonpublic data are not part of Zeeker’s public-data products or general-purpose training corpora. Vendors may process them only to deliver the requested service, secure it, investigate abuse, comply with law, and improve those protected functions.
Licensee restrictions
Where Zeeker provides public user content to a licensee, the agreement should:
- prohibit reidentifying or exposing nonpublic data;
- require reasonable security and purpose limits;
- prohibit surveillance, facial recognition, harassment, eligibility decisions, sensitive profiling, and unlawful ad targeting;
- preserve attribution and source context where applicable;
- require deletion/tombstone updates and restrictions on onward transfers;
- prohibit building user dossiers from public and brokered data; and
- allow audit, suspension, and termination for misuse.
API availability alone does not grant ownership or independent AI-training rights. Developers must comply with the Developer Terms and the permissions of the user-content license.
Deletion
Zeeker removes deleted content from active controlled surfaces within a commercially reasonable period and propagates supported tombstone signals. Copies already made by users or independent third parties may persist. Limited backups, legal holds, safety records, de-identified aggregates, and models or derivatives created before deletion may remain as described in the User Terms.
Research and transparency
Zeeker may provide privacy-protective access for qualified research in the public interest under controls that reduce reidentification and misuse. We publish categories of major data-sharing and enforcement activity in Transparency as the program matures.
Report misuse
If a third party is using Zeeker data for surveillance, harassment, sensitive profiling, or another prohibited purpose, submit an illegal-content or other legal request with specific evidence.
